Shot this in Sligo on my new G9. That is my new G9 with a smashed screen. Somehow the LCD is broken internally, even though the glass back is intact. Not so good..
Man.. I think I really have bad luck with gear, even when I'm being really careful with it.
I guess I'll be posting off to Canon on Monday.

This might look like a day time photo with a star trail tacked on, but it's not. It's a 21 minute exposure using the waxing moon to light all around. I'm stuck at 17mm with the 10-20mm Sigma away getting a new front element.
This shot was started before midnight and the long exposure noise reduction had the camera still processing as I approached the home straight into Galway. I literally grabbed both cameras I was using and left. The bitter wind was whistling in the gates. I'll stay longer next time, if it's not so windy.

Simon Fox from Ocean Color Scene. Taken from the monitor desk. Great gig!
I've been up the walls with work, processing pictures for people, and completely updating my
website
On top of that I've also created a new Lightroom Gallery based on Flash Gallery Beta. That inspired me to create my own flash file, so yet another all nighter was pulled.
I got 2 golds from the SWPP again this month: Fashion and Beauty and Monochrome. I'll post the F&B image when I get a release!

One area of photography that I especially enjoy is bodyscapes. I thoroughly enjoy the shapes and landscapes created by people far superior to my ability with the human body. It still doesn't stop me from trying. As with mastery of any craft, it takes time, patience and time (as George Harrison might say), not to mention pratice. Of course there needs to be trust with the model also (not to mention your partner!). Once this is there, working and shooting become much easier. This is from a session from yesterday. Of course this is actual implied nudity, because the model is wearing clothes!

Another of my Tattoo images. I'm about to start canvasing for more people for these again soon. I may end up having to choose between this project and portraits for my AIPF distinction.
I've been busy with work, website updates, camera club presentations and band CD covers. I did my second NME gig there recently too- the excellent
Dark Room Notes. I've work to do in studio before I get shooting there again. Soon hopefully!

From todays shoot.
I've been very busy putting together stuff to get enough images to choose for the AIPF. I'm in studio a lot with it. Work Work.

A little further along the road with Tattoos. I spent ages at this conversion but feel it needs a little extra to be done. I'm in the process of finding out more about picture quality in Lulu.com books.
Frank Doorhoff has some books on it and likes it. I've asked him a few questions and hopefully he'll geiv me the answers I need to get good looking pictures into a collection of 'portfolio books" .

This is
Darrens Tattoo. This is the only tattoo I've shot outside the studio, mostly because I wouldn't have been able to get Darren there due to his travel schedule.

Here the latest edit from my Tattoo stuff.
I've not posted for a while because after the last shot my new laptop was stolen, along with an Epson P2000, meaning I lost a lot of photos as well as the material goods that were taken. I'm still gutted over it. Also over the weekend was the LIPF judging. I've no news back on this though yet, I'm not getting my hopes up though due to not getting it the first time.
