Random Panderings: Tiger

§ June 17th, 2008

While visiting my grandfather in hospital, my Mother in Law wanted to treat my son Matthew to his first trip to Dublin Zoo. Here's one of the tigers, shot with the 70-200 L with 1.4X convertor.

Random Panderings: Where the midges bite

§ June 4th, 2008

I am tortured now from the 300 or so midge bites I have from the waterfalls near where this was shot.
Neither of my fellow travellers got such a going over!

Random Panderings: Tarbert Lighthouse

§ June 1st, 2008

The lighthouse at Tarbert from the Ferry. in the distance is the power station at Killimer.
The ferry crossing from Killimer to Tarbert was quick and cut a huge amount of travel off the journey. Well worth it.

I've a bunch of stuff from yesterday to process, and hopefully I'll have something from then later!
One cool thing about the trip over was the dolphins (or porpoise perhaps) that were fishing near the lighthouse. I didn't have the 70-200, so I missed getting any good shots of them.
