Latchiko: Steve Wall - The Stunning (II)

Steve Wall of The Stunning who played Dolans Warehouse on Friday past. It was a really good gig with some of The Walls songs thrown in and a great cover of MGMT's "Kids". Dave gave me a quick demo of the new Canon 5D MkII after the gig too. I'm very impressed!
Latchiko: Cratloemoyle Castle In Fog
Cratloemoyle Castle sits just north of the N18 on the approach into Limerick. It is probably the best known of four castles in the Cratloe area (the others being Cratloekeel, Cratloemore and Ballintlea). I pass this castle twice a day and it's been on my list of places to photograph for a while. The heavy fog and morning frost were a welcome sight and helped create a unique view of this castle.
Latchiko: School Road
Despite being a little worse for wear after a Christmas party on Friday night, I was up bright and early on Saturday morning. There was a lovely fog covering Sixmilebridge which was being lit by warm sunlight.
Latchiko: Open
I've been working on this new site in the background for the last few weeks so I'm delighted to finally declare it open! Hopefully it will make life a lot easier for me from a maintenance point of view and will make posting new images less cumbersome. I've kept all of the features of latchiko.com, especially the inclusion of the original, unprocessed image which you can see by rolling your mouse over the 'original' link above each image. I will be tweaking it here and there for another little while but if you encounter any issues please let me know.
This image was captured in Doolin and I loved the little detail in the twine where, rather than replace it when it broke, a little piece of clothes line was used to repair it.
Latchiko: Fionn Regan
Fionn Regan performing upstairs in Dolans on Sunday night last. Last time I saw Fionn Regan was way back in April 2007 when he played in the warehouse. It's interesting reading back on that post that the lighting was minimal on that night also. These shots were taken at ISO1600 at f1.4 and underexposed by 2 stops to still give me a shutter speed of 1/13s!
