§ June 13th, 2010

Photographed at Funderland almost two weeks ago while out photowalking with Denis.

Latchiko: Statues & Ghosts

§ May 30th, 2010

The final photo from Lahinch. A long exposure of the beach from the end of the promenade.

Latchiko: Surf’s Up

§ May 29th, 2010

A young surfer makes his way down to the waves at Lahinch.

I hope you're not tired of the Lahinch photographs! Just one more to go in the series.

Latchiko: Dubh Le Daoine

§ May 28th, 2010

Another one in the series of photos from Lahinch at the weekend. This is the first of two photos conveying the number of people who made their way to the beach for the first day of the summer.

(The title is from an Irish phrase meaning "black with people".)

Latchiko: Lahinch Surfers

§ May 27th, 2010

This series of photos from Lahinch would not be complete without a photo of the surfers. Unfortunately the waves weren't great at the weekend, but the sea was still crowded with surfers.

Latchiko: It Was Then That I Carried You

§ May 26th, 2010

Taken in Lahinch at the weekend.

As pointed out by Phil in the comments, it does resemble this photo. :)

Latchiko: Sea Pink

§ May 25th, 2010

Sea Pink in full bloom along the clifftops at Lahinch.

Latchiko: Summer Reading

§ May 24th, 2010

Another shot from Lahinch, this time from further up along the cliff walk. Why bring a towel to lie on when you can bring a mattress?!

Latchiko: First Day Of Summer

§ May 22nd, 2010

Today Ireland had its first day of Summer. I managed to make it to Lahinch for an hour, but unfortunately I was about five hours late for the photowalk which was happening there. Nevertheless I went for a stroll along the promenade and got some shots I am happy with, more of which I will be posting over the next few days.

(Interestingly, this is the first shot of Summer I've posted - I've created tags for Spring, Autumn and Winter over the years but none for Summer. Just goes to show how little of it we get!)
