Figmentation: Sunrise

§ May 13th, 2009

On the way to work...forgotten I'd taken this.

Figmentation: Blossom

§ April 24th, 2009

Loveliest of trees, the cherry now Is hung with bloom along the bough, And stands about the woodland ride Wearing white for Eastertide. Now, of my threescore years and ten, Twenty will not come again, And take from seventy springs a score, It only leaves me fifty more. And since to look at things in bloom Fifty springs are little room, About the woodlands I will go To see the cherry hung with snow. A. E. Housman.

Figmentation: Missing

§ April 18th, 2009

My 200th post....don't all clap at once. Side of a building in Preston, Lancashire, where the adjoining building has gone...missing. I liked the textures on the side of the remaining building. This is a composite of two versions of the same image.

Figmentation: Live band

§ April 4th, 2009

The band Sixteen Layers at Tower Records in Dublin. We just happened to be in there when the band were just about to start performing. They were very good. Tower Records in Dublin is a slightly down at heel, unpolished store....just the way I like it. They even still sell vinyl and there is a huge selection of eclectic DVDs upstairs.

Figmentation: DART bridge

§ March 31st, 2009

The bridge over the Liffey in Dublin that carries the DART train. I was near the Tara Street station when taking this.

Figmentation: Altar

§ March 28th, 2009

Altar to Our Lady of Dublin within the Carmelite church in Dublin.

Figmentation: Hidden canal

§ March 27th, 2009

I could hear this canal lock before I saw it. I had to peer over a bridge to find it. This industrial canal is in complete contrast to this rural one.

Figmentation: Red Audi TT

§ March 22nd, 2009

Red Audi TT in the car park of Sainsbury's in Sprucefield, Northern Ireland. Notice how considerately they've parked.

Figmentation: Bank

§ March 16th, 2009

The Bank of Ireland building in Dublin.

Figmentation: The Temple Bar

§ March 12th, 2009

The Temple Bar in....Temple Bar, Dublin. When it's busy you can see all the tourists pressed up against the windows.
