Trust our luck that it\’s raining on the first full day we were in Malta, not much by Irish standards but more than our driver back to the hotel was comfortable with but that\’s a story for another day.

This time last year I had the pleasure of visiting Connemara in the company of some photographers from South Kildare Cammera Club, this was taken on the first morning at a place reccomended by our waitress at dinner the night before, local knoledge is a great thing.

Straw Fire
This photoblog has been unloved during the harvest season, I've hardly got out with the camera at all, and it seems that when you get out of the habit of shooting regularly it's hadr to motivate yourself to get going again.
So when my neighbour's stacks of straw were set on fire last week it was a last minute decision to throw the camera bag into the car when we went to see if there was anyway we could help. On a dry but windy evening the fire was gone beyond recall within a few minutes, this was one of the last shots I took that evening, the fire had been burning for several hours and didnt finnaly go out till late the next day
