This time last year I had the pleasure of visiting Connemara in the company of some photographers from South Kildare Cammera Club, this was taken on the first morning at a place reccomended by our waitress at dinner the night before, local knoledge is a great thing.


Every year a local committee run a cross country chase across the local area in aid of some well deserving charity, we’re always happy allow them access to our farm and it has the happy benefit of providing an opportunity for some action shots


This photoblog has been unloved during the harvest season, I\’ve hardly got out with the camera at all, and it seems that when you get out of the habit of shooting regularly it\’s hadr to motivate yourself to get going again.
So when my neighbour\’s stacks of straw were set on fire last week it was a last minute decision to throw the camera bag into the car when we went to see if there was anyway we could help. On a dry but windy evening the fire was gone beyond recall within a few minutes, this was one of the last shots I took that evening, the fire had been burning for several hours and didnt finnaly go out till late the next day


This young man was very much down to business yesterday at Tullamore Show, making sure that his dad\’s heifer made it to the ring on time.
