Walking through the Priory in Tallaght, I spotted this toppled vase of flowers.

Shadow play

This garage nestles behind a beautiful former estate managers house that has not been lived in for a very long time.

Pink Ivy

Ironically, there seems to be an abundance of colour escaping across the high walls of a religious institution close to where I work. You can try, but cannot supress it.

This canvas of colour is wonderful.

Fading Rose of Autumn

Fallen leaves settled upon soil
with rusting glow a warmth against the shortened day
We turn inwards and settle, wisps of turf smoke grey on grey
Whilst bare branches on ploughed land echo the Rooks call
Colour fades, you sleep.

We rest now

We used to play

I hear your laughter floating on a breeze. Those Summer evenings with horizons stretching forever. Sturdy rope push higher, above the tree line, gasping. Silent now, I wait for you.

Abandoned Swing with moss

Oh please, just once more.

Rita’s Bike

Shadow of bicycle on wall

Look but never touch

Rita’s bike is her life, like bread and butter or fish and chips, one does not go without the other. Hands straight on the high handlebars, scarf wrapped around face, off she goes. Rita breaks for no one. Be an obstruction if you dare. Worry filters through the city, Rita is on her way. Traffic grinds to a halt. The royal passage extends along the canal. All shall bow. Hail Rita.
