These pictures were taken at the funfair in Portrush. The menfolk decided to have a go on the “Freak Out”. I felt sick just looking at it. That’s our friend Michael looking cool as a cucumber.
Jason, directly over my head and upside down, pretending to be as cool as a cucumber.
The sickening apparatus in full swing.
When I was at Bloom In The Park on Thursday, who did I bump into? Only Ireland’s president Mary McAleese. Well I was actually about 10 feet away smelling flowers and attempting to snap bees when I saw the president and entourage meeting some of the staff in the walled garden. I think this is quite a nice smiling shot of her.
Another photo taken at Bloom 2010
Yesterday, along with some other lovely photowalkers, I was invited to the opening of the Bloom gardening festival in the Phoenix Park in Dublin. This is the third year of the festival and it features show gardens, food markets, cooking and DIY demonstrations and more. While I was walking around I met Tony Lally and Willy Creighton who were demonstrating some of their woodturning skills. In the picture below, Willie is holding a football made out of wood.
Another picture from the Dublin Photowalk set which included yesterday’s rocket ship. This gentleman was busking on the pedestrian bridge (the name of which I can’t remember) past the Customs House in Dublin. This was taken before it started to lash out of the heavens.
