Porchfield: Heart of Stone
Taken on White Strand, Cahersiveen.

On this day in 460 A.D., Saint Patrick, Christian missionary, bishop & apostle of Ireland, died at Saul, Downpatrick, Ireland. Now this picture has absolutely nothing to do with St. Patrick and it’s not taken in Downpatrick either, but it just felt like it could be related.
It was taken near Crookhaven in Cork.

Was driving on a country road and saw this guy. I literally did a double take and had to reverse back. He was absolutely huge and quite scary looking to be honest.
I was at the Merrion Sq funfair yesterday, which is part of the fun and festivities around St Patrick’s Festival in Dubin and I couldn’t resist doing this shot again, course its all pretty at night with its lights on, but still…
The view is great and I do have more shots which I’ll sort out later and post up, but in the meantime we can see Lansdowne Road is coming along well.
I’ll put up some more later on but you can see last year’s pics on Pixie, for now I’m off to the parade
Have a good day wherever you are.

Its gonna be a quiet day blog wise today, its Saint Patricks day!!!!
This is an image I took last year from the parade when pix.ie got a load of us photographers passes on the parade route!
So I hope where ever you are you have a great St Patricks day!
