Met these two gorgeous little fellas on the way into a forest in India. They were very cute and curious. Also on the way, we passed this hand lettered sign, a nice reminder of what the forest is all about.

Personally, this is my favourite candid portrait. Denis (along with Rosie) run Animal Magic, an animal rescue and educational centre in Co. Limerick. The love these guys have for animals is inspiring and I was lucky to capture this moment between John and one of their snakes.

I had the 70-200mm lens on the camera at the time and I had to rely on contortion to squeeze into a doorway to get far away enough so that the lens would focus! Apart from a crop and conversion to monochrome I've done very little post work on this, in fact it's one of the few photos posted which I've processed entirely in Lightroom.

Once again another photo with the Holga lens on my dslr. Initially I wasn't sure about this shot but I came back to it a few days later and grew to love it. You may not have the same reaction but one or two people might and that's enough for me :)

Hot air balloon being inflated in Trim

How we grow our coffee

Spent a nice couple of hours in the morning by the banks of the Boyne in Trim, watching some of the hot air balloons being put through their paces. Looking forward to the full blown festival at Easter. Well worth seeing!

The best mornings in Galway are when you can see the rain falling…somewhere else. This particular morning – a couple of months ago – huge rainclouds sailed slowly like galleons across Galway Bay, before bombarding the Burren with rain.
