I’ve decided to have a go at this blogging lark. This boat is parked on a roundabout near Kilcock. Peculiar place for a boat, but there you go.

Donegan Gardens

Recently I was asked by Peter Donegan of Donegan Landscaping to take some photographs, at first I assumed it would be photos of some gardens he may have worked on or something but it came as a suprise that he wanted them of himself.

Peter has spent a lot of time on the internet and is possibly one of the few if not the only Landscape gardener to blog, tweet, facebook etc etc, so I gladly helped the guy out. Well what a fun day we had, and after 120 or so photos we found it easy to whittle them down to about 10 shots.

So best of luck to Peter now with his new look site and hopefully the photos will do you some good.

Jennifer Farley Photography: Dursey Island Cable Car

§ March 2nd, 2010

The cable car connects Dursey Island to mainland Ireland. As well as carrying people, it also takes livestock across the 200m stretch of Atlantic. The cable car in these pictures is the new one which replaced the previous “biscuit tin” last year. It is amazingly quiet. When it was passing directly over my head I could actually hear the people inside talking.

The Rising of the Moon
The best plans often don't work out, I realised the other day that I'd have an oppertunity that doesn't often arise to get a shot, the full moon rising over the snow capped Wicklow mountains, so I set myself up on Saturday and Sunday to have a go. Of course the weather put a stop to my chances but I wanted to see would my planning have worked out so I popped up to my vantage point last evening, the moonrise was later so no hope of capturing the snow covered peaks but I think this turned out OK.
