Barry Somers: The Christening

§ February 20th, 2010

Those that know me will know I'm not a religious person, I'm not mass going or any of that and I certainly don't talk about religion on this blog. However last week myself and my wife were invited to a christening in Christ Church in Waterford City. Taking the obvious "we worship a god" part out of it I honestly have to say that what the minister actually said was very personal in respect of the actual work parents do when raising children (obviously unlike a catholic priest he could speak from actual experience).it also involved a big sense of community and involvement for all the people in the church, all in all it was a very interesting experience when compared to a catholic christening,

Taking the Strain
We were in Wexford today with the U13's , after a very hard fought match, a little unluckily we lost out by 2 points. No quarter was given or taken, hardy men all of them.

I'm starting to feel like a glutton for punishment for putting together these massive infrared stitches. The master PSD file of the above image weighs in at a staggering 9257x4198 pixels and takes up 513mb on my hard disk.

This is also my first stab at high-pass sharpening in...maybe two years?
