720nm: Ballykine Castle interior

This fortress is one of the most interesting structures in Ireland: The outer parts of the the outpost's fortifications date from around the mid-1500's, but the inner area - this room - date back to a time almost 900 years earlier.

I mean, it is surreal. The setting - tumbledown walls covered in moss positioned in an ancient Irish rain forest - is like nothing but a Hollywood film. I expected to see cheap fog effects. A Hobbit riding a unicorn. Then it kicks in that this is all real, You have to feel a little awe at standing inside of a 1,500 year old fortress.

Stormy Sea

There is this special relationship between the sea and the cliffs. Both follow their nature and don't bother each other. The cliffs slow down the sea, the sea forms the cliffs. With an emotional view you would project anger, fight, chaos. Without emotional observation, you can see the endless harmony between each other - a dialog of creation, moment for moment.

I was lucky that I arrived at the right time to see the golden sunbeam getting visible by the play of water, mist and shadow. Enjoy, Madeleine

720nm: Ross Errilly Friary – Visible Light

§ February 18th, 2010

I have to admit that sometimes I want variety - the opportunity to break matters up a little by just taking a simple snapshot and uploading it (almost (dust fixes)) unmolested.

So here you go: Ross Erilly by the light of day.
