The Almond Croissant Diaries: Day 24

§ January 24th, 2010

024/365 Only 24 days in and this Project 365 is getting tough! I only remember at the last minute that I need to pop up a photo by which time I’ve lost daylight and I’d rather be heading to bed than trying to be creative! Must. Try. Harder!

A little bit of spring
The weather looks as if it's going to get colder again here but at least there is a promise of spring.

inphotos.org: Abbeystrowry Cemetery

§ January 24th, 2010

Abbeystrowry Cemetery is located near Skibereen in County Cork. It is the site of some of the mass graves used in the area during the famine around 1845.

I didn’t know, or had forgotten there was a famine in 1740/1741 when 400,000 people died. That many people died on this little island of ours in such a short time? The mind boggles.
