Latchiko: Dromoland Deer

§ January 9th, 2010

I went for a walk around the grounds of Dromoland this afternoon. As I was driving in I spotted some deer running in the distance. I quickly parked up and put the zoom lens on and made my way after them in the hope that they might have stopped. Sure enough they had and I managed to sneak relatively close to them before the scampered off.

The whole grounds were stunning and I'll probably post another photo or two from the walk over the next few days.

(Oddly this is the second time I have posted a photo of three deer.)

Panasonic DMC-TS1 camera in the snow

A lovely new camera!!
I got this Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 last month and really love it. It’s waterproof and shockproof, perfect for kayaking! The photo quality is pretty good but the video is where it’s at. Amazing for on/in the water kayaking videos and perfect for behind the scenes video on the latest ‘Earthy Creatures’ shoots.

Winter Wonderland

So this weekend we are being warned of a big snow storm thats about to hit Ireland, well at 8am this morning I looked outside and it was bucketing the white stuff down, so I charged my cameras battery fully up and went out to take some shots. By the time all this was done the snow had stopped but Dublin looks gorgeous at present.

This is a shot of the Grand Canal, taken on Leeson Street bridge, yes its a canal! and has been frozen solid the past week, the difference is now it snowed the canal is now white and stunningly beautiful! I dont plan on skating on it though just yet.

Barry Somers: Clonmel Skyline

§ January 9th, 2010

Nearest Marks & Spencers to where we live happens to be in Clonmel and while not as big a store as whats available in Dublin & Cork its still has some really nice stuff :) During these shorter winter days the sun sets just before 5pm so I managed to see this sight just as we were leaving the car park.
