As fossil fuels go turf must be the one with the best soul! Is there anything better, on a cold winter’s night, than sitting around an open turf fire, with friends and talking pure drivel and having the best of craic? Nothing, I say. Nothing on earth.

So up at 7am this morning (2nd January) and off to get some winter morning shots, first port of call was a local church ruins and then off to Kilkenny Castle where I got this in the castle grounds.
