Pana-Vision: Front of the bunch
At the recent Cork City Marathon, there came a point where there was a big mass of runners. These were just some of those bunched up. My full set of photos from the day are on Flickr.

Oh dear, I have been very neglectful of my poor old blog. Lots of exciting photos lined up for the coming days though, although most of them will be wedding oriented.

The hotel where the wedding took place had a lovely, big garden which included a fishing lake with jetties hidden along the bank. We decided to use one of them for this shot which I think conveys a nice sense of privacy between the couple and just allows the viewer a little sneak peak into their special moment.
I love the colours in this shot - even though the sky is grey, I really like it.
Shot from the car window in Union Hall. This fellow was feeding in the lagoon.
For such big birds (up to 1 metre in height with a wingspan pushing 2 metres) they’re incredibly nervous and skittish.
As I stopped and lowered the car window this one moved quickly away, and then took flight. This image is cropped from the full frame (handy having 12MP to play with).
The shot I’m really after is a perfect reflection of a hunting heron in glass-calm water… but it’s proving a tricky endeavour. In the meantime I quite like this shot.
Sometimes a bad photo can look better than intended.
The waitress moved at the moment the shutter clicked.

Fuchsia flowers in my dad’s back garden.
I’ve tried to photograph fuchsia plants many times but the flowers are so delicate that any sort of breeze will set them shaking. I took this photo with the Canon 50mm resulting in a very fast shot and thankfully the lack of wind helped too!
(Posting this so “early” in the day because I’m debugging a supercache bug, must revert that “not logged in” message.)
