The Almond Croissant Diaries: Stockley and Heddington Steam Fair
Today we ventured along to the Stockley and Heddington Steam Rally and Country Fair where there were steam engines on display alongside classic cars and military vehicles. There was even Lawnmower racing and Tractor pulling!
I seemed to get drawn into taking close-up shots of all of the vintage vehicles. Here are a few, the rest can be seen on Pixie. There will be a few more shots apperaing over the coming days too.

Latchiko: Jayne
This photo was taken at the Galway strobist meetup last weekend. It was great to finally meet Sean and Mike, whose work I have admired for a long time. This shot was simply a 580EXII to camera left (held by Declan) bare on 1/4 power.
There's no "original" for this. I've decided as a general rule of thumb not to include the originals for portraits. There is very little post work done on this apart from a little tidying up of shadows, colour correction and some sharpening.

Wild garlic flowers from underneath. That “twig” in the back is actually lavender. Yeah, my garden can be a little smelly at times.

One more photo from the picturesque Guagán. If you’re visiting Cork and it’s not actually raining, this is a lovely place to visit.
