Porchfield: Thinking of Summer

After the parallel universe of elections and drama it’s time I got back to reality. We are heading to the Lake District for a week in early July and on to Valentia island for two weeks after that. I’m hoping that my photographic mojo will come back somewhere along that trail. If not I’ll just sit back and enjoy it anyway.

Thanks for all the comments and emails after Dónall’s victory in the election. You may be interested in this interview with him and myself at the count. Stick with it until the end, there is a bit of a surprise ending!

Just two of the shots I have gotten around to processing from my great trip to the Wicklow Goal. A great place for a day out if you’re in the area! Scarey place, I can only imagine what it was like years ago

Believe it or not but this boat was up on the top floor of the prison, it showed how goods and slaves where moved in and around Ireland. The rest of the prison was a lot scarier and didn’t look as luxurious as this!

Came across this in a rural church in Co Kilkenny, its not something you'll likely see in bigger towns and citys as people fear money will be stolen as the money collection box/basket is passed around during mass.
