Glasseyalley: Restart

§ September 12th, 2008

Rusted cogs, part of a long ago abandoned piece of machinery on the copper coast in Waterford. Impossible to get started, or so you'd think. With a little work and enough determination, anything can be made to work.

Iced Coffee: hallway

§ September 12th, 2008

The hallway of the house I moved into with 3 friends at the beginning of the month. It’s so nice I have even chosen to work in the dining room and the living room a few times, occasionally with a great fire going.

X-Ray photography on Wired. Really cool pics.

Natalie Norton continues her series of blog posts on moving towards manual settings. She has one on understanding ISO and another on understanding daylight exposure and equivalent exposure.

Epic edits list 16 inspirational photography techniques. Slightly odd that they start with Photoshop though!

Ryan Brenizer on the first DSLR with video capture.

Phil meets Cyril. A lovely post and a great story; a testament to how photography can get people talking.

There’s a new camera club starting in Dalkey.

US photographers Fred Egan and Melissa Jill were in Ireland recently (and separately) and captured some cool shots along with some funny commentary about near-death experiences on our country roads.

Make the most of the clouds (although some blue sky is needed!)

Love this pic from Gav and Ciara’s blog.

Eddie Rocket's

Eddie Rocket’s in Blackpool, Cork. I haven’t eaten here. The last time I did was in Galway at a Linux thing, probably in the late 90’s when all I remember was that it was overpriced. Still the same?

Pur B&B was right beside a field full of lovely wind blasted trees and a mixture of the strangest looking sheep I've ever seen with big handsome black cows who gathered to observe our passing every evening.

What a difference a day makes few minutes make.

19.04 hrs

You saw this skyline by day with the men working on the camera. The last time I had a shot of the sun setting it was way off to the right of this photo.

19.06 hrs

I just kept clicking and picked the best.

19.08 hrs

They were all taken last night.

19.12 hrs

And then the phone rang…

19.23 hrs

The last one was taken with the phone in one hand and the camera in the other.

Kyle Tunney Photography: Tunney Photography Blog | New look

§ September 12th, 2008

I’ve finally gotten around to it, a nice new design for the blog. The first custom skin I’ve made for Kyle Tunney Photography Blog. I was using the default theme for Wordpress called “Kubrick“, which did the trick for a little bit.

Being a web designer it was inevitable that I was going to do some custom skinning. Their is one or two little things to tweak but I was happy to go online with this. I’m also very tempted to not support Internet Explorer 6 but theirs just too many people still using it, Grrrr!!

If you find any bugs, like/dislike the look and feel of the site OR just want to say Bonjourno, please feel free to do so below. All comments and critique (C&C) welcome :)
