Another photograph from the beautiful city of Boston, and in keeping with the abstract theme of late.
Fight Like Apes justified their later billing at this year’s Indie-Pendence festival in Mitchelstown last weekend with a frenzied performance. Last year they played during the day when they were not so widely known but this year they were on after Fred, which is no mean feat, and just before Cathy Davey headlined. Their mad cap live performance just seems to have got more insane and they have a lot of new material which should make its way onto their debut album which, like their EPs, has a long-winded title “Fight Like Apes and the Mystery of the Golden Medallion”.
Just two more photos in the full set as the lighting was tough for their show.

Kimball, a station on the L in Chicago. This was a station I used every day when I lived in Chicago a few years ago. I had to ride the brown line one more time when I visited the city in 2005.
I had hoped to work on some shots of today’s trip to Kinsale and Garrettstown but time was against me. Wandered one of the backstreets of the town and got some shots of the wonderful buildings there.

So here it is my first iPhone photo entry, yes that’s right I got myself an iPhone. It was a hard ordeal to get one due to the shortages about, but by following a delivery van on Friday around the Grafton Street area I was able to get into the Carphone Warehouse in Saint Stephens Green shopping centre and nab myself a 16 gig white 3G iPhone, out of the 3 they got in.
Now I did not buy the iPhone for the camera, I have my SLR for that, and thank god that’s the case, if I had anything at all to complain about with the iPhone it would be the 2mp camera. My Nokia E65 had a 2mp camera yet the photos from it were a lot better. But in relation to the other capabilities of the phone I am amazed at what it can do.
So here is Rebecca bouncing like a good thing on the Bouncy Castles down on Bray seafront.

The band’s first E.P. can also be purchased through the online store.
